- As a result of stressing that the most important virtue of public officials is integrity and of actively promoting various integrity policies, Uijeongbu City was cited by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission as the best government body in terms of integrity for two consecutive years, 2011 and 2012.
- Uijeongbu City was awarded the Grand Prize in Integrity in the First Integrity Awards organized by Gyeonggi-do in 2012.
※ In 2008 and 2009, the city’s integrity ranking among about 31 cities and districts was low (26th and 21st, respectively).

- 2015. 9. 17. Recognized for the excellence of its after-school programs, the Innovative Education City Project received the top award in the Local Social Partnership category of the 7th After-School Programs Awards in 2015.

- 2013. 1. 30 Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and Uijeongbu City entered into an MOU for promoting a local society with gender equality and a high quality of life for the local residents. The city continues to promote women’s social and economic activities, job-family balance, and gender equality.
- Executing 86 women-friendly promotion city projects in five key policy areas for the realization of the goal of becoming a Women-friendly City
- The Town Community Center with Literature, Arts, and Nature in Ganeung 3(sam)-dong is being used as a resident socialization and lecture room.
- Realizing a safety town by improving decrepit alleys, beautifying old walls, and installing safety lights and safety bells
- The city’s Women-friendly City Project run by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family was given a “Prime Minister’s Award” in 2016 for its success.
Lifelong-learning city where the citizens’ dreams come true

- 2013.7.2 The Ministry of Education selected Uijeongbu City as a lifelong-learning city where anyone can obtain education from anywhere and at any time.
- Realizing the goal of becoming a lifelong-learning city full of happiness from learning and sharing with Lifelong-Learning Expo, Baese-Simon (100-year-old Citizens) Self-Running University, Lifelong Education for the Less Educated Classes, etc.
Central Transport Hub of North Gyeonggi-do

- With support from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, Uijeongbu City completed Howon IC on May 28, 2015.
- Improving the city’s chronic downtown traffic issues by expanding Route 43 (Songsangil) and Dongbuganseon Road, opening a new bypass as an alternative to the national highway (Jangam–Jageum), Millak District BRT, and Shinheung-ro in Camp La Guardia, etc.

Uijeongbu City - City of Libraries

- Uijeongbu has established a total of 74 libraries and places for reading books to expand and improve the city’s poor library infrastructure, including small libraries within resident centers, small civil libraries, book cafés in public facilities and large restaurants, open bookstores, small libraries within military facilities, and Hope Library at Uijeongbu Station.
